(Helps that once found once, the Info Bank gives a quick guide on how it was found.) The feather icon is next to a variety of things, like something you need a quest for, main character exclusives, plus passing hidden tests like having a sufficiently high skill, or specific character while in a specific port. ![]() The globe icon is next to things found mostly by going there, turning on the lookout mode, and collecting them, just like treasure chests. The flag icon is next to things found in expeditions (that didn't need a clue from a book). The book icon is next to things where you get clues from interpreting books. I noticed in the Info Bank's Discovery listing that there are 4 icons for how a discovery is found.
